Guwahati, May 25: In a noteworthy development, Dispur police made a significant breakthrough on Friday by apprehending an individual named Vikas Kumar, who hails from Bihar, in connection with a kidnapping incident.

The incident unfolded on May 11, when a young woman and a teenage girl were forcefully taken away from Six Mile in Guwahati.

According to reports, the victims were transported to Mumbai, where the young woman was coerced into marriage during this harrowing ordeal. However, thanks to the prompt and efficient action taken by the police, the kidnapper was swiftly tracked down and arrested in Mumbai.

This arrest marks a crucial step forward in the investigation, shedding light on the intricacies of the case and providing hope for justice for the victims and their families.
