Hailakandi, Feb 21: A student in Hailakandi, Assam was detained by the police on Wednesday following an alleged leak of a question paper during the ongoing higher secondary examination.
Reports suggest that the Modern Indian Language (Bengali) question paper was leaked over WhatsApp by the student after the exam had begun.

Around 40 minutes into the exam, the question paper and answers were reportedly leaked on WhatsApp, leading to the student’s detention.
The police also confiscated a mobile phone from the student, who had managed to bring it into the examination centre.
It was found that the exchange of question papers and answers was happening on a WhatsApp group named ‘HSSC’ consisting of 10 members. In response to the incident, an investigation has been initiated.
