Assam: Teachers given tearful farewell

SIVASAGAR, May 9: Two subject teachers of Fuleswari Girls’ HS School, Sivasagar Jyotimala Baruah and Trailukya Handique were given tearful farewell on Friday through a meeting held in the school auditorium. They were given books, mementoes and plaques by the teachers and students separately.

The teachers spoke a few words recollecting their long tenure as teachers in the school.

Manoj Kr Borthakur, president, SMDC, Swarnamoni Borgohain, principal, teachers, students and employees were present on the occasion. The meeting observed one minute silence praying for those that sacrificed their lives in the western front from barbaric shelling across the line of control.
