Currently, the only iron bridge on Borphukan Road in Dekhari is in a deteriorated state, causing inconvenience to travellers. Protesters highlighted that the bridge has been in disrepair for approximately 2 years, with no significant action taken by the concerned authorities. They criticised the local MLA for allegedly neglecting the issue.

The demonstrators urged the authorities to prioritise the construction of a new bridge urgently to improve connectivity and ensure safe passage for the community.
