Bharat Gaurav Train between Rana Pratap Nagar and Kamakhya

Special trains celebrate cultural diversity and heritage of India

GUWAHATI, Jan 5: The NFR is going to operate a Bharat Gaurav Special train with no 00968 between Rana Pratap Nagar and Kamakhya in order to promote tourism.

The tour programme of this special tourist train will be for 7 days which has commenced its journey from January 3 and will conclude on January 9.

The train no 00968 has departed from Rana Pratap Nagar on January 3 to reach Kamakhya at 2:25 pm on January 5 and will halt for 2 days for visits to various places of tourist interest. Again, the train will depart from Kamakhya at 5:15 pm on January 7 to reach Rana Pratap Nagar at 10.15 pm January 9. The train will run via Berach Jn. Cabin, Ajmer Jn., Madar, Jaipur Jn. Agra Cantonment, Etawah Jn., Govindpuri, Prayagraj Jn., Varanasi Jn, Pt. DD Upadhyaya Jn., Patliputra, Barauni Jn., Katihar, New Jalpaiguri, New Coochbehar and New Bongaigaon railway station etc. during its both way journey. The train will consist of Sleeper class and AC-3 tier coaches for the accommodation of tourists.

This Bharat Gaurav Special trains aims to offer an unique travel experience, celebrating the cultural diversity and heritage of India. People from North Bengal areas and its adjacent states will be highly benefitted from this tour programme that covers most of the destination at a single go instead to which it would have cost much higher if planned individually.

Bharat Gaurav is the first such type of tourism special train for the travel enthusiasts and it is in line with the Government of India’s initiative “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat” & “Dekho Apna Desh”. Passengers can book their tickets from IRCTC website to avail the journey.
