KOKRAJHAR, April 9: Four people were injured, one critically, in a bison attack in Kokrajhar district’s Karigaon-Haldibari area early Monday. Villagers attempted to drive the bison back to the nearby forest but ended up getting injured. One victim, Mehung Basumatary, suffered serious stomach injuries and was transferred to Barpeta Medical College and Hospital for treatment. Forest officials are working to relocate the bison from the village forest area back to its habitat in the Ripu Chirang Reserve Forest.
