KOKRAJHAR, May 8: BTR CEM Pramod Boro ceremonially inaugurated the newly constructed statue of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma, former ABSU president at Kokrajhar Govt College premises on Saturday in Kokrajhar.

The statue of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma was constructed under the financial assistance from the Urban Development department of Bodoland Territorial Region government.
Among others, MLA Lawrence Islary, Madhav Chetry, political secretary to the BTR CEM Pramod Boro were prominent attendees in the event.
Boro has said that the BTR government has been emphasising for bringing all round development of the society with integration spirit. He said that the BTR government has initiated to make installation statues of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma in various educational institutions, prominent locations who had sacrificed his whole life towards uplift and development of the Bodos and other down trodden communities in the state.
He has urged the young generations to follow up the philosophy and ideology of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma to make a healthy society in days to come.
