KOKRAJHAR, APRIL 19: The Bodoland University observed the 165th birth anniversary of Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma, an eminent social reformer at the university premises in Debargaon in Kokrajhar on Friday.
Subung Basumatary, registrar of the university paid floral tribute to the statue of Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma. The programme was attended by faculty members and officers as well as students of the Bodoland University. Office bearers of the Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma Trust (GKBT) were also present in the event.
Basumatary while inaugurating the event said, “Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma was the main architect of social reformation in the Bodo society as well as down trodden communities, who brought about great changes in various socio-cultural aspects. His contributions towards the up liftment of the Bodo society are enormous for which we much recollect his deeds.”
The event highlighted the contributions and dedication of Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma who rendered his endless services for promoting healthy welfare.
