During the function, Deputy Chairman of KAAC, Avijit Kro said, “The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council’s efforts to improve transportation services align with its mission to empower local communities and promote socio-economic development in the region. As per the assurance made by the Chief Executive Member (CEM), Tuliram Ronghang of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council during the last election rally, we are fulfilling the dream of the Chinthong’s public today by introducing a cruiser service from Umlapher to Guwahati. Due to the lack of transport, the public, including students and traders, has faced hardship for many years. As per the CEM’s directive, we have flagged off the bus service from Umlapher to Guwahati today.”

Meanwhile, Executive Member, Transport, Bilimohon Khaklary, who was present in the function, said, “I extend my thanks to KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang for giving me the privilege of introducing the transportation services from Umlapher to Guwahati and Diphu to Guwahati, as well as a dead body carrying van for the Diphu. I believe the public will now benefit from this service.”
