NAGAON, August 25: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) continues its investigation into the mysterious death of SI Junmoni Rabha. As part of the ongoing probe, the CBI’s investigative team returned to Nagaon Circuit House on Friday and summoned the PSO and other security personnel who were associated with former superintendent of police Leena Doley.

Throughout the day, the CBI investigators individually questioned several security personnel at length, recording their statements separately, according to sources familiar with the matter.

It is worth noting that the CBI had previously set up camp at Nagaon Circuit House for over a month, conducting multiple rounds of investigation. During this period, the agency had already questioned various police officers, including former OC of Nagaon PS Manoj Rajbangshi, OC of Dhing PS Raja Irshad, and SI Abhajyoti Rabha, among others, along with several other police personnel, all in connection with the mysterious death of SI Junmoni Rabha.

In addition to these interviews, technical experts from the CBI analyzed computer sets from the Morikolong outpost and reviewed CCTV footage from the Haibargaon Outpost. The agency officials also made repeated visits to Jakhalabandha PS and the location of the road accident in which SI Junmoni Rabha was discovered dead inside her personal vehicle. The container truck that had collided head-on with SI Junmoni Rabha’s car on that fateful night was also extensively examined during the investigation process.
