HAFLONG, June 7: CEM Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC) and president of Dima Hasao Sports Association (DHSA), Debolal Gorlosa laid the foundation stone at NL Daulagupu Sports Complex, Haflong on Tuesday for the infrastructure development of NL Daulagupu Stadium under the Special Package 2023-24.
The special package includes installation of statue of DHSA founder & general secretary, Late NL Daulagupu, ground development, development of practice ground, construction of women’s toilet, construction of player’s dressing room, construction of VIP gallery, retaining wall with grass gallery, installation of high mast floodlight tower, conference hall, renovation of indoor hall and beautification of entrance gate.
DHAC chairperson Ranu Langthasa, deputy chairman DHAC, Bimal Hojai, executive members, DHAC Samuel Changsan, Biswajit Daulagupu, Nipolal Hojai and principal secretary, DHAC, Thai Tsho Daulagupu, ACS and former special commissioner to GoA, PWD Rajesh Kemprai were also present at the foundation stone laying ceremony.
CEM Debolal Gorlosa also ceremonially distributed farm tools such as rice mill machines to the beneficiaries of each constituency. After the distribution, CEM also addressed the members of DSA and crowd present during the programme and spoke at length about the plans and development of improvisation of field of sports for the people of Dima Hasao and especially the youth.
