DONGKAMUKAM, Feb 9: On Thursday evening, the Rachnatmak Nonia Sanyukta Sangh (RNSS) submitted a memorandum to the district commissioner of West Karbi Anglong, accusing Madhabi Pandit, president of the All Assam Other Backward Classes Association, West Karbi Anglong District Committee, of engaging in illegal activities.

According to RNSS, Pandit allegedly issued counterfeit OBC Caste Certificates and No Objection Certificates to the Nonia/Nunia community residing in the district since 2010, alongside providing backdated caste certificates.

Despite an FIR being filed against Pandit on January 30, 2024, at the Kheroni Police Station, RNSS reported that no arrests have been made yet.

RNSS is calling for appropriate action to be taken and the dissolution of the OBC, West Karbi Anglong District Committee. These demands were communicated by Dharmendra Chouhan, the national joint secretary of Rachnatmak Nonia Sanyukta Sangh, overseeing North East India.
