Drama performed on World Environment Day

MORIGAON, June 7:
 In keeping with the celebration of World Environment Day, a drama titled ‘There are trees, there are living beings’ (Gos Thakilehe Manuh Thakibo) was performed by the students of Udmari Natun LP School under Mayong revenue circle at the school premises on Wednesday.

The students of the school performed the play in presence of the teachers and the local public in the premises of the school. Earlier, the event started with watering the saplings which were planted on World Environment Day in the school premises. Thereafter, the teachers and the students cleaned the weeds near the planted saplings which was followed by a seedling drive programme. The teachers and the students planted 10 mango and coconut seedlings on the school campus.

A seminar based on ‘child development’ was also organised here with an interaction programme on the World Environment Day between the teachers and the students of the school.
On the other hand, Sarvodaya Public School, Morigaon conducted a plantation drive in the school campus on Wednesday. The principal of the school, Lipika Bora planted saplings in presence of the students in the school campus.
