During the meeting, the general observer highlighted the importance of adhering to the guidelines and rules set forth by the Election Commission of India (ECI) regarding election preparedness and processes in the three hill districts under the 6-Diphu (ST) parliamentary constituency. Emphasising the significance of maintaining transparency and accountability, the general observer encouraged the utilisation of tools such as cVIGIL, an online application for citizens to report violations of the model code of conduct, and the Suvidha app, aimed at streamlining the nomination and permission processes for candidates during the election period.

Furthermore, the expenditure observer provided an overview of the ECI guidelines on expenditure rules, stressing the importance of accurately maintaining registers and accounts of all expenditures incurred by candidates during the campaign, including advertisements, paid news, and vehicle expenses. Additionally, the police observer addressed security measures and urged all stakeholders to ensure a free and fair electoral process. Towards the conclusion of the meeting, some political agents raised concerns regarding alleged misuse of power by certain parties. These concerns were duly noted and will be addressed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
