DEMOW, June 11: The Tai Sahitya Sabha, Assam successfully organised its first annual foundation day in Thowra Doul near Demow on Sunday. The event commenced with a vibrant cleanliness drive and a sapling plantation, fostering a greener environment. The atmosphere was further illuminated as earthen lamps were lit in Thowra Doul. The participants also paid homage to the revered Jasingfa.
The chief secretary of Tai Sahitya Sabha Assam, Central Committee, Naren Changmai, hoisted the flag and performed the smriti tarpan ritual. The esteemed MLA of 107 no Thowra constituency, Sushanta Borgohain, inaugurated the open session of the program. Distinguished personalities such as Jiten Borpatra Gohain, Dr Hemanta Kumar Gogoi, Dr Girin Phukan, Umesh Gogoi, president, Jadab Changmai, working president, and Dr Bipul Gogoi, secretary of the first annual foundation day organising committee, graced the occasion with their presence
