Five arrested, three minors booked

JORHAT, Dec 4: Police have arrested five individuals under the POCSO Act, 2012, and booked three minor boys under the Juvenile Justice Act for allegedly circulating explicit photos of a minor girl.

According to a police source, all eight accused belong to a village under the jurisdiction of the Bhogdoi Police Outpost.

Investigations revealed that the girl had shared the photos with one of the accused, identified as her boyfriend. 

A case has been registered at Jorhat Police Station under case number 535/24, and further investigations are underway.
