TEZPUR, Aug 12: Senior Asom Gana Parishad leader and former education minister Brindaban Goswami
underwent a complicated heart surgery at the Health City Hospital in Guwahati on Friday afternoon. He
was admitted to the hospital at 1.30 pm on Thursday and underwent a six hours long surgery.
The family sources informed that the surgery was successfully completed and doctors declared him safe.
He represented as MLA from Tezpur for five terms. After getting the news of his illness people from
various parts of the state has prayed for quick recovery of the veteran political leader simultaneously
in Naam Ghar, temples, mosques and churches. Along with others Tezpur MLA Prithiraj Rabha also met
him on Friday at the hospital and wished speedy recovery of Goswami.
