Guwahati to host North East Textile Expo

30 manufacturers from Panipat as well as traders from Northeast will participate in the expo

GUWAHATI, April 18: The International Trade Corporation (ITC) will hoist the North East Textile Expo in the city for the first time in the history of the state and the Northeast.

This North East Textile Expo will be organized from May 18 to 20 in the Vrindavan Garden courtyard of Sri Gauhati Gaushala located at Athgaon. On the occasion of Ram Navami Mrinal Ganeriwal, Vikram Modi and Namish Ganeriwal unveiled the official poster of North East Textile Expo.

Organiser of the expo Mrinal Ganeriwal said, “For the first time in the history of the Northeast, many manufacturers of Panipat will arrive to participate in this North East Textile Expo. The special thing about this expo is that blankets, bedsheets, quilt, bed covers, handloom goods, home furnishing products etc. will be available under one roof. In this, all small and big traders of the Northeast, including the state can participate to give more momentum to their business.

During the three-day long event, B2B meet will also be organized, through which small and big businessmen of Northeast, including the state will get a golden opportunity to directly interact and do business with the manufacturers of Panipat. Through this Expo, the traders here will not only get a chance to expand their business, but will also get the opportunity to see many unseen products.

Vikram Modi said, “Over 30 big manufacturers of Panipat are participating in the expo. The North East Textile Expo will benefit all the small and big traders of the region immensely.”

Mrinal Ganeriwal said, “Tremendous enthusiasm is being seen among the traders as this expo is being held for the first time in the northeastern region.”
