Hagrama’s BTC team welcomes six nominated members from diverse communities

Nominations strengthen inclusive governance and community representation in BTC

KOKRAJHAR, DEC 1: The Hagrama Mohilary-led Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) executive team has inducted six government-nominated members representing communities that did not participate in the recent council elections. Among them, youth leader Nandalal Manger from the Gorkha community, hailing from Runikhata in Chirang district has been sworn in as an Executive Member, bringing joy to the Gorkha community across Bodoland.

After taking oath at the BTC Legislative Assembly, Nandalal Manger expressed gratitude to Chief Executive Member Hagrama Mohilary and assured that he would sincerely fulfill his responsibilities. He emphasised his commitment to uniting all communities, tribes and religions for the overall development of Bodoland and expressed confidence that BTC will witness 15 years of accelerated progress under Mohilary’s leadership.

Similarly, Karmeswar Roy from Fakiragram in Kokrajhar district, representing the Koch-Rajbongshi community was nominated as an Executive Member. Roy, who previously served in the Kamatapur Autonomous Council (KAC), announced his resignation from KAC responsibilities and expressed his intent to work for the development of the Koch-Rajbongshi community as well as all communities in BTC.

The other nominated members include Hemprabha Devi, a GSP party advisor from Tangla Udalguri district, Ajay Kumar Kalita from the Kalita community Udalguri district, Ridip Kumar Deka from the Saraniya-Kachari community Baksa district and Ratan Chandra Rabha from the Rabha community. The inclusion of these nominated members reinforces Hagrama Mohilary’s commitment to inclusive governance, ensuring representation for all communities and fostering development across the Bodoland Territorial Council.
