Heroin seized

JAGIROAD: A team of police led by the additional superintendent of police (ASP) of Morigaon seized 720 grams of illegal heroin from a man in Jagiroad on Monday night. The accused was identified as Anwar Hussain of Besamari village under Dhing PS in the district of Nagaon. The drugs were valued around Rs 5 crore, police sources said. The arrested man had brought the illegal goods in a bag of vegetables by train and got off at Jagiroad. Police are investigating the matter and further probe is on.
