According to an official statement, the facilities were inaugurated by Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu and Rajender Gurung, Circle CEO (NESA), Indus Towers Ltd.

The initiative, implemented under the company’s flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme ‘Pragati’, is aligned with the Government of India’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and aims to bridge critical infrastructure gaps in schools while promoting menstrual health awareness among adolescent girls.

Speaking at the event, education minister Ranoj Pegu said, “Access to proper sanitation plays a crucial role in promoting health and safety, especially for young girls. I appreciate the efforts of Indus Towers Limited and NEAID in improving school infrastructure in Assam. This initiative is well aligned with the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and I look forward to seeing its positive impact on students’ well-being and attendance.”
