JP Nadda participates in rally, extends support to NDA candidate in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, APRIL 18: National president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jagat Prakash Nadda on Thursday addressed a grand rally in Kokrajhar, where he also extended his support to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate for Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency, Joyanta Basumatary.

A grand Vijay Sankalp Samavesh was carried out in support of the NDA alliance candidate for Kokrajhar HPC at the Green Field, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar where more than 60,000 party supporters and well wishers participated and extended their support to him.

A grand rally commenced from Green Field, Bodofa Nwgwr to Assam Oil depot via JD Road in Kokrajhar town.

Joyanta Basumatary filed his nomination papers before the returning officer on Thursday at the district commissioner’s office in Kokrajhar.

Basumatary filed his nomination amidst the presence of the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and UPPL supremo, Pramod Boro, state cabinet ministers, Urkhao Gwra Brahma, Chandra Mahan Patowary, leaders from NDA alliance partners.

Speaking on the occasion, Nadda said, “The NDA government at the Centre, state and BTR government have been working dedicatedly towards the welfare of the citizens across the country. India is marching ahead towards a new ray of hope and aspirations under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during the BJP’s 10 year rule.”

“Several welfare and developmental activities have been initiated so far, which have received huge positive response from the common masses across the country. The BJP and NDA alliance partners are committed to work dedicatedly to render welfare humanity services amongst the citizens. The NDA alliance candidates including Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency, Joyanta Basumatary will win the Lok Sabha elections with a vast margin of votes.”

Nadda said that the Congress party had failed to address the people’s hope and grievances in their decade long reign in the country. The party never cared for the welfare and developmental aspects of the common masses. He also alleged that the Congress party and its leaders never want people’s integration and unity.

Assam Pradesh BJP president, Bhabesh Kalita, AGP leader Ramendra Narayan Kalita graced the programme and addressed the gathering, which witnessed a grand participation cutting across the communities across the region.

On the other hand, Pramod Boro said, “The grand mass gathering in favour of NDA UPPL candidate for Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency, Joyanta Basumatary is a sign of people’s massive support to the NDA alliance. Peoples cutting across the communities are waiting to cast their votes in favour of NDA alliance candidates.”

He said that thousands of enthusiastic people of Kokrajhar (ST) Lok Sabha constituency gathered to express their love and support for PM Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat. Viksit BTR, and to proclaim in unison, Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar in India.

“Today, JP Nadda ji, was warmly welcomed at the Vijay Sankalpa Samavesh at Green Field in Kokrajhar. A vast gathering of thousands of individuals assembled to express their unwavering support and admiration for adarniya Nadda ji. His words ignited a sense of enthusiasm among the crowd,” CEM Boro said.

Meanwhile, Joyanta Basumatary expresses his confident that he will win from the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency and that the people’s unwavering support was evident in their massive response towards the NDA alliance.
