DIPHU, Jan 31: In continuing the effort to get close to the people, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) held another public interaction programme at Jonghar Timung village, Deopani Member of Autonomous Council (MAC) constituency in Karbi Anglong.
The interaction was attended by the chief executive member (CEM) of KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang who assured that he will try to mend the needs of the people.
CEM said, “For knowing the needs and grievances of the public we have taken applications from them and held discussions. Officers of all departments are here with me along with the DC and SP. All applications are accepted. The secretaries have noted down the grievances and recorded them so that action can be taken.”
He further said, “A booklet will be made on the grievances and needs of each MAC constituency based on the applications. People have given us memorandums and spoken their minds. The work needed will be passed in the District Planning Board and tender will be called.”
CEM said KAAC would try to complete the work within one year adding that indigenous would get facilities.
MLAs Rup Sing Teron and Darsing Ronghang; executive member of KAAC, Mangal Sing Timung; MAC, Johny Timung and others were present at the public interaction programme.
