Vehicle boost for Primary edu dept

DIPHU, Oct 20: Government vehicles allotted to the Primary Education Department were ceremonially distributed to the District Primary Education Officer (DPEO) of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong by Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC).
The distribution ceremony was held at KAAC Secretariat on Thursday morning where the respective Primary Education officers were handed the vehicle Bolero SUVs.
The cars were handed over to four DPEOs of West Karbi Anglong, Karbi Anglong, Bokajan sub-division and Diphu sub-division so that they don’t face any problems while visiting schools.
Distributing the vehicles, the chief executive member (CEM), KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang said the KAAC wanted to improve education in the two hill districts.
The executive member (EM), KAAC, Education, Richard Tokbi with his team of student organisations has started a mission for achieving quality education. The vehicles provided to the DPEOs will be used for visiting schools. The CEM said the effort of KAAC is not enough, but the cooperation of student organisations is needed.
The CEM and EM, Education, Tokbi flagged off the vehicles.
Deputy chairman, KAAC, Ajit Kumar Dey; EMs and Member of Autonomous Council (MACs) were present on the occasion.
