‘Let’s Ride Cycling Group’ arrives at Diphu

DIPHU, Dec 28: An eleven-member team of ‘Let’s Ride Cycling Group’ with the motto, ‘Health and environment’ cycling from Guwahati after a short halt at Lumding reached Diphu at 1 pm.

They were received by Mukul Chandra Gogoi, a retired official of the Govt of Assam and now adviser to chief executive member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang on Tourism and Development, at Karbi Anglong Sports Association (KASA) stadium.

One of the cyclists from the team, Lachit Deka, who is above 71 years of age, said that the members of ‘Let’s ride’ cycling group’ love cycling and did it to promote health and fitness.

“The ‘Let’s Ride Cycling Group’ was formed with eleven members from different walks of life. The eleven member group has a passion for cycling and through their passion want to promote health consciousness and love for the environment. The team started cycling from Lumding and reached Diphu today while also spreading the message of responsible tourism in Karbi Anglong,” Deka said.

He also said that Karbi Anglong has several tourist destinations and many tourists would be willing to come to the region to witness and enjoy the scenic beauty of the area.
