Lions Club organises eye check-up camp at Dharapur

GUWAHATI, Oct 16: Lions Club of Guwahati city in association with medical assistance of Guwahati Lions Eye Hospital and Acharya Tulsi Mahasraman Research Foundation (ATMRF) organised an eye check-up camp at Tulsi Grand, Garal, Dharapur on Sunday.

During the camp approximately 150 patient availed medical services, including eye check-up, blood pressure and diabetes test. Two specialist doctors conducted eye test while 2 other physicians from the hospital conducted blood pressure and diabetes test.

Project chairman Lion Vinod Lohia informed that since last 15 week the people of this region were informed about the camp by way of banners at different locations and announcements through mike. During the camp district governor Lion B S Rathod along with first lady Lion Lekha Rathod visited the venue and praised the nobel work of the club.

Club president Lion Dipika Agarwala informed that 24 patient were detected with cataract problem during the check up and all these patient will be operated free of cost at Guwahati Lions Eye Hospital in first  and second week of November 2022. The club secretary Lion Sachin Bairasia informed that the club was very much thankful to the management of Acharya Tulsi Mahasraman Research Foundation for their support. Trustee of the (ATMRF) CA Pardeep Nahata, Vijay Singh Dosi were also present and support the camp. The patient was also distributed free spectacles which was sponsored by social worker Nirmal Agarwala. Club members, Lion Sushil Agarwala, Lion Bikash Agarwala, PRO Lion Bikash Gupta were also present and had supported for the success of the camp.
