Margherita witnesses grand celebration of Sri Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra’s birth anniversary

MARGHERITA, March 11: Over ten thousand devotees from across the state gathered at Margherita Satsang Vihar to celebrate the 136th birth anniversary of Sri Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra, where a grand procession featuring the chariot of Sri Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra captivated the entire Margherita town. Following the procession, women congregated at the holy event to participate in ‘Matri Sanmelon’. A Dharma Sabha, presided over by Proti Ritwik Parimal Barua, unfolded in the afternoon hours. Many distinguished esteemed speakers, including Spr Saurav Bhattacharjee, Spr Biswajit Bhowmick, Adhurjya Someswar Patro, Arjun Majumdar, and Abhijit Ghosh, engaged the audience in discussions on various topics outlined by Sri Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra. These encompassed the five rules of business, marriage guidelines, the importance of initiation, and DP works.

In a significant pre-event on Saturday, Dr Atanu Kakoty, the principal of Margherita College, inaugurated a wall magazine titled ‘Kabita Kannon’, where this literary addition aimed to enrich the cultural and intellectual landscape of the celebration. The inauguration witnessed the presence of notable figures such as Ram Prasad Ambedkar, president of Margherita Journalist Association, Dr RB Deb, retired vice principal of Margherita College, noted writer and journalist of Margherita Rajiv Ninghkee, Spr Biswajit Bhowmick, and other distinguished and resourceful persons of Margherita. The celebration encapsulated a harmonious blend of spirituality, cultural enrichment, and intellectual discourse, creating an atmosphere of unity and reverence for Sri Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra.
