TEZPUR, Feb 4: The Mass Drug Administration (MDA) campaign for elimination of lymphatic filariasis in Sonitpur will run from February 10 to 19, with the first three days as booth days and house-to-house administration by ASHA and Anganwadi workers.
A coordination meeting was held under District Commissioner Ananda Kumar Das, attended by officials from NVBDCP, NHM, Rangapara tea gardens and local authorities. Eleven tea gardens in Rangapara, covering around 1.40 lakh beneficiaries aged above two, have been targeted. DEC tablets should not be taken on an empty stomach.
