KOKRAJHAR, Sept 1: A meeting of Bodoland Territorial Region chief executive member Pramod Boro with officials of Agriculture department, scientists from Kisan Vikas Kendras of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and faculty from Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat was held at the conference hall of BTC Secretariat, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar on Thursday.
The meeting discussed thoroughly over the pressing issues related to development of agricultural aspects in BTR districts and prepared necessary strategies to uplift the agricultural sectors to produce more agri products including multi crops in the region.
BTR CEM Boro, while chairing the meeting, said that the BTR Government has been stepping in to extend necessary support and helping hand and working towards the upliftment of agricultural sectors to increase production of multiple crops with innovative changes in the region.
“It is the need of the hour that our administrative officials and our scientific community work hand-in-hand, sharing knowledge and experience, to bring radical, innovative changes in the agricultural sector of BTR & uplift the economic conditions of the farming community,” Boro added.
BTR executive member for agriculture department, Ghanashyam Das, senior officials from agriculture department were also present during the meeting.
