Morigaon Sankari Sangeet Vidyalaya holds annual day

MORIGAON, Aug 10: The Morigaon Sankari Sangeet Vidyalaya, affiliated to the Srimanta Sankardev Sangha, Morigaon Zilla Sakha, on Sunday celebrated its Annual Day and the closing ceremony of a workshop that began on July 2 and concluded on August 8, 2025.

Since its inception in 2011, the institution has been marking its Annual Day with great enthusiasm.

The event was hosted by principal Prasanna Kumar Medhi and moderated by SSV Morigaon president Gyan Muhan Deka.

The programme was attended by Morigaon Zilla Parishad CEO Ananta Kr Gogoi, ACS, District Cultural Officer Anshuman Dutta, writer and social worker Ashok Deka, former MDJA president Birinchi Sharma, Morigaon Press Club president Ajit Sharma, senior reporter Jitumoni Nath, journalist Pranjal Sharma, artist Papu Kalita, poet Mantu Kumar Nath, social worker Sajidur Rahman, Sankari culture caller Pradeep Patar, Sattriya artist Utpala Hokai, and Binaram Dewri, among others.

Students of the school performed Bargit, Ganika, Jhumura and Nadubhangi Sattriya classical dances, directed by Guru Tapas Bordoloi. Parents and students attended the event in large numbers.
