New KAWJF branch in Khatkhati-Lahorijan

BOKAJAN, Nov 8: The Karbi Anglong Women Justice Forum (KAWJF) has constituted a new branch at Khatkhati-Lahorijan with Angana Begum as president and Sweety Devnath as general secretary.

The branch was formed during a meeting held at Lahorijan PWD (IB), Karbi Anglong aimed at promoting women’s rights and combating atrocities against women.

Other office bearers include vice president Ranu Soni, assistant general secretary Sila Yadav and office secretary Sultana Begum. The meeting was attended by KAWJF president Beaulet Beypi and social worker Molen Teron, among others.

KAWJF is rapidly establishing itself as a key women’s organisation in Karbi Anglong.
