Newly elected committee assumes charge at Behali Press Club

BISWANATH CHARIALI, June 20:
 In a meeting held at Omeo Bhawan, Bedeti, the newly formed committee for the session 2023-24 assumed charge from the outgoing committee at Behali Press Club.

Dipak Sarma chaired the meeting, where the transition took place. Behali Press Club, a prominent press club in the former Sonitpur district and currently in Biswanath district, witnessed the handover of papers and documents from the outgoing president and secretary, Dipak Sarma and Khagen Matak, to the newly elected secretary, Srimanat Das.

The meeting began with a minute of silence in remembrance of Nirban Nayan Hazarika, a talented photo journalist from Biswanath who recently passed away in a road accident. Various speakers, including Diganta Humar Das, Mahendra Pogag, and Srimanta Das, addressed the meeting, and several resolutions were adopted to strengthen the press club.
