GUWAHATI, Oct 15: The Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to run a one way special train from Silchar to New Delhi to clear the extra rush of passengers. The special train will run for a single trip on October 17, 2022.
Special train No. 05611 (Silchar – New Delhi) will depart from Silchar railway station at 23:30 hours on October 17, 2022. The special train will run via New Haflong, Guwahati, Goalpara Town, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar, Gorakhpur, Lucknow and Ghaziabad railway stations to reach New Delhi at 01:45 hours on October 20, 2022.
The special train will consist of 18 coaches. There will be 2 AC three tier, 1 AC two tier, 9 sleeper class, 4 general sitting and 2 seating cum luggage coach. Waitlisted passengers of other trains running on this route can avail the facility.
