MORIGAON, Nov 5: Employees of the National Health Mission (NHM), Morigaon, launched a strong protest against the state government, demanding immediate implementation of the “Equal Work, Equal Pay” policy.
Around 600 NHM employees participated in a three-day cease work programme from November 3 to 5 at the premises of the Joint Director of Health Office in Morigaon.
During the protest, they raised slogans seeking job security and parity in wages with regular government employees.
The agitating employees also submitted a memorandum to chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through the Morigaon MLA, urging the government to address their longstanding grievances at the earliest.
