Operational Preparedness Of Mohanbari Air Base Reviewed

Guwahati, July 6 (IANS): Air Marshal D.K. Patnaik, the Air officer commanding-in-chief (AOC-in-C) of Eastern Air Command, who is on a three-day visit to the Air Force Station at Mohanbari (Dibrugarh) in Assam, emphasised on the strategic importance of the base as well as its future developmental aspects.

Defence spokesman Lt. Col. A.S. Walia said that the AOC-in-C reviewed the operational preparedness of the sir base and appreciated the IAF personnel for the good work done by them at these forward bases.

While addressing the officers at the Air Force Station, he stressed on the importance of being conversant with their role in operations. He appreciated the efforts put in by all the personnel of the air base in completing the assigned tasks in a befitting manner.

Patnaik was briefed on the operational, maintenance and administrative preparedness of the station. The Air Marshal visited various units and sections of the Air Force Station before proceeding to the Advanced Landing Groups at Vijaynagar and Walong.
