KOKRAJHAR, March 5: More than 3000 new members from different parties including BPF joined the UPPL party at a grand joining programme held at Adalbari playground under Mushalpur block in Baksa district on Sunday.
The joining ceremony was organised by Mushalpur block committee of UPPL which was chaired by BTR executive member Rakesh Brahma.
Each of newly joined members was offered warm welcome and felicitation with party badge and traditional Aronai by senior UPPL party leaders and members.
Rajya Sabha MP and UPPL working president, Rwngwra Narzary, BTR EM and UPPL leader, Rakesh Brahma, UPPL general secretary (Admin), Raju Kumar Narzary, membership Drive in-charge for Mushalpur block & UPPL media cell secretary, Hantigiri Narzary, office secretary Ayub Hussain were graced as guests in the event.
Rajya Sabha MP, Narzary said that the UPPL party is working dedicatedly towards the welfare and integration of the society since it’s inception.
He said that many mission and visions which are related to the human resource development are launched by government of Bodoland Territorial Region to make massive ushering in the region.
BTR executive member, Rakesh Brahma while welcoming the newly joined members, said that UPPL is committed to work for all round development of the society.
Meanwhile, the third triennial conference of Baksa district committee of UPPL was held at Bathousali Baganpara in Baksa district.
An workshop of the UPPL party was also carried out during the conference.
Chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region and UPPL president Pramod Boro, BTR speaker Katiram Boro, UPPL general secretary Raju Kumar Narzary, MLA Bhupen Boro were prominent attendees in the event.
