JAGIROAD, Oct 1: Water Resources, Information, and Public Relations minister Pijush Hazarika participated in a public rally organised by BJP workers on Tuesday.
During the rally, minister Hazarika expressed his displeasure over some statements made by Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge and his son regarding the semiconductor project in Jagiroad.
Regarding the statements, he said, āAround 29,000 unemployed youths will receive direct employment at Tata’s semiconductor project in Jagiroad, which is why Congress leaders are becoming agitated. This is a significant insult and an unfortunate situation for Central Assam and the entire state, questioning why educated unemployed youth in Assam should not be given job opportunities. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma are working swiftly to create jobs and industries in the state, but there is rising discontent among Congress leaders.ā
The rally was attended by MLAs from the Morigaon, Nagaon, Rangia, and Thaora constituencies.
