BOKAJAN, Dec 5: Karbi Anglong police around 8 pm on Sunday evening recovered 39 soap cases of heroin from a vehicle under Lahorijan Patrol Post.
The team of police intercepted a car without a registration plate which was coming from Dimapur. On thoroughly searching the vehicle, 39 soap cases containing 511.79 grams of heroin were recovered. The drugs were hidden in a secret chamber which was made behind the driver’s seat.
Two persons have been arrested in this connection and they have been identified as Dulal Uddin (30), son of Abdul Barik, resident of Balikatia, under Juria police station in Nagaon district and Sarafat Ali (22), son of Alal Uddin, resident of Herapati, under Nagaon police station in Nagaon district.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Bokajan SDPO, John Das.
