BISWANATH CHARIALI, April 4: Ram Das, a founding priest of the Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple located on the western bank of the Ghiladhari river, donated an ambulance from his hard-earned savings and from the collected amount offered by the visitors as well as the devotees. He formally handed over the ambulance to the public on Wednesday. It is pertinent to mention here that Ram Das founded the Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple in 2008 just near NH 15 on the western bank of the Ghiladhari river. Later on, the temporary temple was shifted aside from the road and constructed permanently with a concrete setup. Uttam Nath, secretary of Sootea Press Club and a local journalist, inaugurated the ambulance service for the needy. Addressing the media gathering, priest Ram Das said that the general public can use the ambulance service as and when needed, merely paying the fuel charge, while the poor and downtrodden people will be offered free services. The people of the greater Sootea have praised the unique but timely step undertaken by the noble priest.
