Road Mishap In Kheroni

KHERONI: Tragedy struck on Sunday evening when a road accident on the Umrangso-Langka road in West Karbi Anglong resulted in two fatalities and left two women critically injured. The accident occurred when a truck with registration number AS 01 GC 8111 collided head-on with a car bearing registration number AS 01 EU 1393.

The impact of the collision was so severe that the car was completely smashed. Sadly, one of the car’s occupants, identified as Bikram Kro from Langsar Village, lost his life on the spot. Three other occupants of the car sustained critical injuries, and one of them, identified as Dharam Teron from Rikang Mehom village, succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital.

Currently, two injured women, identified as Anjali Teronpi from Deori Tini Ali and Meena Ronghangpi from Rikang Mehom Village, are receiving medical treatment in Hojai. This tragic incident has left the local community in deep shock and grief. The authorities are investigating the accident to determine the exact cause of the collision.
