MARGHERITA, Feb 9: Rontix Hospital in Margherita launched an advanced CT scan and MRI facilities, enhancing healthcare services for local residents and patients from neighboring Arunachal Pradesh.
This development eliminates the need for patients to travel to Dibrugarh and other districts for MRI scans, offering much-needed medical convenience.
Established in 1993, Rontix Hospital, located at Tiniali, Margherita, has upgraded its facilities with modern technology to provide more comprehensive healthcare services.
The inauguration event was moderated by Papori Gogoi, with doctors lighting earthen lamps as part of the ceremony.
Dr. Nabojyoti Cheleng Manahing, director of Rontix Hospital, highlighted the institution’s long-standing commitment to patient care in his inaugural speech.
He assured that the hospital would continue its mission of providing quality medical services in the future.
The CT scan and MRI facilities were officially inaugurated by Dr Ankur G Cheleng and Dr Ankita G Cheleng.
Speaking at the event, noted surgeon Dr UC Das emphasised that the introduction of these facilities would be a significant relief for patients in Margherita and Arunachal Pradesh, who previously had to travel long distances for such diagnostic services.
The inauguration was attended by several prominent medical professionals, including Dr PK Baruah, Dr TC Borthakur, Dr Banti Bora, Dr Abdul Halim Ahmed, Dr Atul Bora, and Pabitra Borgohain, secretary of the Indian Red Cross Society, Margherita Sub-District Branch.
Representatives from various organisations, doctors, and local residents were also present at the event.
With these new diagnostic services, Rontix Hospital continues to strengthen its role as a key healthcare provider in the region.
