BAKALIA, April 6: Forest officials of Northern Range Forest, West Division have seized sawn timber from Hatipura area under Bakaliaghat police station on Tuesday night.

Range officer Harinath Ronghang led the operation in which a pickup truck bearing registration number AS-02-E-2887 was seized which was used to carry illegal timber. The market value of seized timbers is more than Rs 50,000, informed ACF Ronghang.
