School van turns turtle after collision in Jorhat

JORHAT, June 30: A Maruti van carrying school children overturned after being hit by a Bolero vehicle near the Ajanta bypass while turning into Bohotia Gaon on Monday morning.

Two children inside the van sustained minor injuries in the incident.

According to sources, the van was en route to pick up more children when the collision occurred.

Local residents rushed to the scene and managed to rescue the children by breaking open the van’s window.

Police arrived shortly after the accident and the injured children were sent to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) for treatment.
