Shikhi Kakati Gets  National Award “Bharat Gaurav Samman-2025” And The Title Of “Nritya Sirumoni -2025”.

Morigaon,  Au 10: Shikhi Kakati, the Desh Ratna -2025 awardee a five standard student of Mahendra Kandali Academy, Morigaon Assam bagged  national level  prestigious award the  “Bharat Gaurav Samman-2025” presented by the “Namaskar Group” founder of Deepak Saraswat, Malad West, Mumbai-400095 @Registered with NAHF & Recognized by Niti Ayog & Ministry of Culture under Govt. of India on 28th July, 2025.Even  Shikhi Kakati has also received   national level prestigious award “Akhil Bharatiya Pratibha Samman -2025” &  the title of “Nritya Sirumoni Puraskar-2025” presented by the Radiant Talent Book Of Record & Gyan Uday Foundation, Chief Editor, Radiant Talent Book of Record, 001, Dhanalaxmi Building, Khandelwal Nagar, Post Office – Sai Nagar, Ako Amravati-444 607, Maharashtra, (Corporate Office Anand Vihar, Ramganj Mandi Kota, Rajasthan) on 29th July, 2025 for her exceptional contributions and dedication to the field of Indian Culture through Sattriya Dance and Acting from five years old.

Previously, Shikhi Kakati has also received several other prestigious accolades, including the Rashtra Seva Samman, Bharatiya Ratna Samman, Rashtriya Pratibha Samman, Indian Legacy Award, National Excellence Achievers Award, Swami Vivekananda Pride Achievers Award, and Rashtriya Seva Samman Ratna – 2025 (National Gem of Service), National Honour 2025, Satyamev Jayte National Honour, Indian Icon Award 2025, Mahatma Gandhi International Icon Award etc. She has also excelled International Gold medal in the Indo Nepal Karate Championship 2025 in 35+ Junior Category on 20th April, 2025 at Moigaon Khirod Baruah Indoor Stadium. 

She is the daughter of poet Mantu Kr. Nath and Junmoni Kakati of ward no. 5, Morigaon town. She is also learning the Satriya dance and acting under “Morigaon Sankari Sangeet Vidalaya” mentored by renowned instructors Prasanna Kumar Medhi, Tapas Bardoloi and Utpala Hokai. In addition to her classical roots, Shikhi is also making strides in other art forms like Martial Arts (Karate).

Shikhi Kakati represents a new generation of artists who are rooted in tradition while embracing modern expressions. Her performances have not only earned applause locally but are also starting to attract national attention.
