Presided over by District Commissioner, Mridul Yadav, alongside District Development Commissioner, Norsing Bey, the meeting brought together key industry leaders, academic institutions, and financial organizations to discuss the ambitious plan for a state-of-the-art Technology Centre in Panchgram, Silchar.

This transformative project, under the Government of India’s “Establishment of New Technology Centres / Extension Centres” scheme by the Ministry of MSME, is set to receive an investment of ₹200 crores and will span 20 acres of land.

The initiative aims to usher in a new era of industrial growth and technological advancement, equipping the local economy with cutting-edge training facilities and skill development programs tailored to meet the region’s employment and entrepreneurship needs.

IRCON International Limited (IRCON) has been entrusted with the execution of this mega project, while Grant Thornton Bharat, serving as the knowledge partner, presented an insightful blueprint on how the centre will enhance MSME competitiveness.
