Sivasagar secures top position in HSLC results 2025

SIVASAGAR, April 11: Sivasagar secured the top position with 85.55 pass per cent in the HSLC Results 2025 declared on Friday among the 33 districts.

Dibrugarh followed with 81.10 p.c. and Dhemaji with 80.64 secured the third position. A total of 8371 candidates appeared from the district, 2918 of them got first division, 3093 second division, 790 were placed in the third division.

The 150 government schools in the district faced a stiff challenge from mushrooming of the private schools as long as HSLC results are concerned.

New Look Academy continue to achieve cent percent first division results for the last 11 years and this year as well 42 of them got first division ( 19 D,15 St) with three students Jonak Jilmil Baruah securing  state highest marks in Geography, while  Anchit Saikia, Abhigyan Dihingia and Anurag Baruah in Advanched Maths.

A total of 119 candidates appeared from Fuleswari Girls HS, and 45 of them got fist division, 71 second and 2 third division. In Government HS School, 129 candidates were successful with 80 getting 1st division (5D,16 St), 26 second and 2 third division out of a total candidates 132.  Sundarmal School achieved 100 p.c. results with 60 candidates all passing out in 1st division. From TRB Senior Secondary School, all 42 candidates got 1st division (7D,21 St).  From Dimuwal Bidya Bhawan, 40 candidates out of 46 got 1st division and 6 got 2nd division. From Adarsha Vidya Bhawan, 16 got 1st division( 6D,1 St) and 6 2nd division. From Sivasagar Jatiya Vidyalaya, 19 out of 21 were successful with 10 of them got 1st divisions.

A total of 21,758 students appeared HSLC Examination 2025 from Nagaon district among which 15,643 students cleared the examination.

Among the successful students, 5255 students bagged 1st division, 8046 students secured 2nd division while 2048 students achieved 3rd division in the district. The pass percentage of the district is 71.90 percent.

On the other hand, Ajmal Modern Residential School (AMRS), Hojai, a unit of Ajmal Super 40 emerges out with a remarkable performance in the HSLC Examination 2024-25. A total of 186 students appeared in the HSLC 2024-25 and all of them achieved 1st Division with 113 distinctions and 179 stars.

Mustafizur Ahmed has achieved 96.6% and becomes the batch topper. In the subjects General Mathematics and Advance Mathematics 29 and 20 students have secured cent percent marks respectively and emerges out as the state subject toppers.

In Morigaon the leading non govt school Charaibahi re- excelled with 100 percent for the 17th year. Altogether 113 students from Charaibahi  Niketan sat for the High School Leaving Certificate Examination announced on Friday. 12 students passed with Distinction, 33 students with Star marks, 62 students with First Division and 6 students with Second Division with 100% results According to the results, 42 students got letter marks in Assamese, 20 in English, 38 in Social Science, 36 in General Mathematics, 46 in General Science, 24 in Higher Mathematics, 9 in Sanskrit, 5 in Yoga and 12 in Hindi.

The Niketan was established in 1998 and has achieved 100% pass rate since 2009. The Niketan has achieved 100% pass rate since.Besides total 25 students from Bhumuraguri Secondary School,Charaibahi ,a tribes  dominated area where 12 students passed in first division and 13 students passed in second division with 100% results. According to the results of the school, 18 students got letter marks in Sanskrit, 3 in Assamese and 3 in Science.  Sonitpur secured pass percentage of 60.78 in the results of the HSLC (Class 10) examination declared on Friday by  the Assam State School Education Board. This year, a total of 13401 numbers of candidates appeared for the examination from the district where 2374 students secured first division, 4023 students secured second division and 1475 students secured third division marks.
