GUWAHATI, Sept 11: To accommodate the additional passenger demand, Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to extend the periodicity of the 08048/08047 (Guwahati – Santragachi – Guwahati) weekly special train for an additional three trips from September 15 to September 30, 2023. The train will maintain its existing schedule, stops, and composition. This extension will help accommodate passengers on waiting lists along this route.
Train no 08047 (Santragachi – Guwahati) special will depart from Santragachi at 18:00 hours every Friday from September 15 to September 29, reaching Guwahati at 15:00 hours the following day. In the return direction, train no. 08048 (Guwahati – Santragachi) special will leave Guwahati at 16:45 hours every Saturday from September 16 to September 30, arriving in Santragachi at 12:30 hours the next day. During its journey in both directions, the special train will pass through Goalpara Town, New Bongaigaon, New Cooch Behar, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Rampur Hat, and Dankuni.
