Following the ABSU’s constitutional protocol, in the presence of the guests, the old committee was dissolved and a new committee was formed, with Buhumsa Basumatary (Tezpur College) as president and Swrangsa Basumatary (Darrang College) as general secretary.

Later, district ABSU general secretary Enosh Mochahary acknowledged the old body for their dedicated service to the organisation during their tenure amidst their busy study schedules. While giving best wishes to the new body, Mochahary urged them to work selflessly for the Boro nation, striving to preserve their ethnic identity, reminding them that art, culture, language, literature, heritage, and proper education reflect the true identity of a nation. Underscoring Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma’s ideology and his lifelong dedication to the welfare and upliftment of the marginalised Boro community, he also encouraged the new body to engage in selfless service to the nation. “If you give time to the nation for its good cause, time will give you recognition, and the nation will always remember you,” he said, adding that ABSU is a disciplined organisation and all ABSU members should maintain the same.

Other members, along with Dr Lakhiram Narzary from Tezpur College, also spoke a few words to motivate the new body’s members to work for the organisation while staying on the right track. At the end, the old body officially handed over the charge to the new body, and the new body was administered the oath to carry out their duties with responsibility and discipline.
