Tezpur, Nov 24: A prominent youth from Tezpur, former student leader Mousum Pratim Dutta, has been honoured with the Best Blood Donor 2025 Award by Team Humanity, a leading volunteer organisation active across Sonitpur and Biswanath districts.
Dutta, a resident of Majgaon in Tezpur, has been quietly donating blood since 2000 after witnessing families desperately searching for blood during medical emergencies. Over the past 25 years, he has donated blood 65 times, becoming a trusted lifeline for countless patients.
Along with his own regular donations, he has also helped arrange blood for relatives of patients in need, earning widespread appreciation for upholding the spirit of humanitarian service.
The award was presented during the 10th anniversary celebration of Team Humanity, held at the Tezpur College auditorium. The organisation felicitated Dutta with a traditional phulam gamosa, the Best Blood Donor 2025 trophy and a citation, encouraging his continued dedication to social welfare.
Locals have praised Dutta’s long-standing commitment, noting that his work reflects the true message of the widely shared slogan, “Blood donation is the greatest donation.”
