Dhemaji, Oct 13: In a major drug seizure in Jonai, the local police, in collaboration with TMPK and the Sonowal Kachari Students’ Union, intercepted a large consignment of illegal drugs on Monday, arresting two suspected dealers.
Sources said that members of the Sonowal Kachari Students’ Union, Dhemaji district committee, received a tip-off about a large drug consignment being transported from Silapathar to Jonai in an INNOVA vehicle bearing registration ML05J-3980. Acting quickly, the union tracked the vehicle from Chimen Chapori and informed the TMPK Jonai district committee to coordinate the interception.
